Jeanne Bayol

Inside, dresses, blouses and jackets sit alongside embroidered textiles, baskets, ceramics, paintings and decorative objects, creating a layered interior that rewards looking slowly. Bayol describes her clothes as créations métissées — pieces informed by different places, traditions and encounters, but interpreted through her own unmistakable sense of colour and proportion. Her collections are produced locally in Provence, with the garments made by an atelier in Avignon.

Fashion, however, is only one part of her story. Bayol’s fascination with travel, decoration and old caravans has long shaped the wider universe around her work, and that freedom is visible throughout the boutique. Nothing feels overly composed; objects from different periods and origins simply coexist, linked by the eye that selected them.

There is also a generosity to the way Bayol presents her clothes. Her annual Défilé des Copines, in which friends rather than traditional models wear the collection, reflects the same informal and personal spirit.
